Colours of Creation

co-lead by Margie Davidson & Janet Armstrong


Draw on the world around you to develop a pleasing colour palette for your next project. This workshop is for anyone seeking to become more comfortable with the principles of colour theory. Participants will complete a variety of exercises using different media including fabric and yarn. Short walks are planned both to energize and to gather sources of inspiration from nature.  Learn to trust your creative instincts, revel in nature's bounty and become aware of your inner palette.

Kit Fee: $20.00

Two to five day workshop ( 6 hours per day )
Sewing machines are not required for the two day workshop.
The longer workshop allows time for sewing and /or knitting samples to be worked on.

Margie and Janet met at a meeting of the Fibre Art Network, a co-operative of fibre artists based in western Canada.  Their friendship blossomed while preparing for an exhibition "Inside the Dress" mounted at the McMullen Gallery in Edmonton in 2005.  Teaching this workshop was a highlight for both Margie and Janet at Quilt Canada 2008 in St. John's Newfoundland.
